The cable
(rough notes for now)

An Android phone or tablet with On-The-Go (OTG) also known as USB Host mode support.
Most modern Androids with a USB-C connector will work.

A CANable (US$20) CAN-BUS to USB adapter.
These can be found on sites such a AliExpress, Amazon, eBay or makerbase3d.com. Search for CANable 2.0.

A EURO5 6pin plug (US$3). Connect CAN-H, CAN-L and Ground wires to the CANable.
These plugs can be found prewired in places such as AliExpress, Amazon or eBay. Search for MWTPB-06-1A-R

DONT LET THE OTHER THREE WIRES SHORTOUT.
Either put heatshrink over the end of each of the unused wires or cut them at different lengths and wrap with electrical tape.

This is mine.
Note the heat shrink on each of the three unused wires.
The cable is a standard USB extension cable and the white thing is a standard USB-A to USB-C adaptor.
I recommend getting a USB-C canable instead.
